BOYOLALI - The Food Task Force of the Boyolali Police, Central Java, has ensured that cooking oil stocks are safe and there is no turmoil when the government's policy of one price is Rp. 14,000 per liter.

"We are related to the application of cooking oil at a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter. So far, there is no shortage of stock so it is still relatively safe," said Head of the Boyolali Police AKBP Morry Ermond, in Boyolali, as reported by Antara, Monday, January 24.

The Police Chief said that in general, cooking oil stock conditions at the distributor level to the market in Boyolali are still in good supply and still sufficient for consumer needs.

According to the Police Chief, if there is a shortage of cooking oil, the Boyolali Police Food Task Force will cooperate with the local Trade and Industry Office to carry out market operations.

"So far, we have not found any hoarding of cooking oil or any prominent incident related to the price and stock of cooking oil in Boyolali," said the Police Chief.

Separately, the Head of the Trade and Industry Agency (Disdagperin) of Boyolali Regency, Karseno, explained that his party's policy of one cooking oil price of Rp. 14,000 per liter was followed up by monitoring modern shops in Boyolali.

"We have observed that modern shops in Boyolali have implemented the one-price cooking oil policy," said Karseno.

In addition, his party also monitors traditional markets in Boyolali regarding the application of one cooking oil price of Rp. 14,000. From the results of monitoring, traditional markets still sell cooking oil prices in the range of Rp. 19,000 per liter to Rp. 19,500 per liter. His party gave a week after the government's decision on the price of cooking oil for traders in traditional markets. This means that there is a week for traders to adjust the price of the cooking oil.

Nevertheless, the Industry and Trade Agency of Boyolali has intensively conducted socialization for traders in traditional markets to adjust prices related to one cooking oil price of Rp. 14,000 per liter.

His party socialized traditional markets through the head of the integrated service unit (UPT) to traders. The price of cooking oil, since Wednesday, January 19, has been selling for one price, which is Rp. 14,000 per liter.

"We hope that with this socialization, all traditional market traders can follow the government's policy of implementing one cooking oil price," he said.
