JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police has arrested a number of perpetrators of attacks on students on Jalan Joglo Raya, Kembangan, West Jakarta.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police, AKP Ferdo, said that his party did not yet know what the motives of the perpetrators were.
"We don't know if there is an allegation of a brawl or not. We are still transporting the motorbikes first," AKP Ferdo told reporters, Monday, January 24.
However, his staff has secured the alleged perpetrator and several motorbikes at the location.
"I don't know whether a brawl or not, we will secure everything first. We don't know the chronology yet. I'll update it later," he said.
Meanwhile Dika (28), one of the eyewitnesses of the incident said that there had been an attack on students in the Jalan Joglo Raya area, West Jakarta.
Dika said that the perpetrators of the attack had been chased by local residents and had been arrested.
"It was the people who carried out the stabbing or the assault who were stopped by the residents. What I know is that the residents have chased the perpetrators and taken them into custody," said Dika when contacted, Monday, January 24.
Furthermore, he said that the perpetrator was wearing a school uniform when carrying out the action.
"He was looking for an enemy, the perpetrator was not a crowd, so it was random (the target). There were school children passing by and they were attacked or something like that," he said.
"Anyway, what I saw earlier, the victim on the left cheek had a bloody scratch on his ear," he said.
