Pretending To Help Victims, Scoopy Motorcycle Begal In Cakung Arrested By Residents
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cakung Police Sector arrested a robber with a sharp weapon of the samurai type on Jalan Kavling DPR, RT 06/06, Jatinegara Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta on Sunday, January 23, evening.
The perpetrator, known to have the initials AA, did not move when he was arrested along with evidence of a samurai. Meanwhile, another friend of the perpetrator with the initials D managed to escape and is being chased by officers.
"The item that will be taken is a Scoppy motorbike in 2010 with the number B 6162 UQT carried out by the perpetrator with the initials AA and a friend with the initials D (DPO)," said Cakung Police Chief Kompol Satria Darma to VOI, Monday, January 24.
The mode of action of the crime carried out by the two perpetrators was rotating randomly looking for the victim's target. At first, the two perpetrators rode a black Nmax motorbike together. The perpetrator, initials AA, approached the victim's motorbike and got out of his vehicle right next to the victim's motorbike.
"The perpetrator AA entrusted the samurai to his friend. When the perpetrator approached the victim's motorbike, the perpetrator's friend moved his motorbike forward again while carrying a samurai-type sharp weapon which was held in his right hand, while flanked with his feet," said Kompol Satria.
The two perpetrators approached the victim's motorbike, NA and SIN, who were trying to pull their motorbike into a muddy road.
"Then the two perpetrators stopped beside the two victims. After that, suspect AA, put the samurai on the motorcycle seat and pretended to help the two victims by pulling the motorcycle from the mud," he said.
The perpetrator AA also held the handlebar of the victim's motorbike, while the two victims pushed from behind. After the motorbike came out of the mud, suspect AA immediately got on top of the motorbike and immediately pulled the gas hard.
However, the two victims tried to defend the motorbike by still holding the handle of the back of the motorbike. As a result, both victims fell and were dragged about 1 meter. The perpetrator and the motorbike that was about to be taken away also fell at the same time.
"At that time the two victims screamed for help. The victim's friends, witnesses RNP and NQN who saw it from about five meters away shouted for help," said Kompol Satria.
Apparently the victim's screams were ignored by the perpetrators. The perpetrator AA again tried to take away the victim's motorbike by pulling the gas.
Then another fellow victim with the initials NAS returned to holding the motorcycle handlebars to invite the attention of other residents and officers. The perpetrators of AA were also arrested and a sharp samurai weapon was found.
"Then the perpetrator AA and evidence of samurai were secured to the Cakung Police. The perpetrator was charged with Article 365 Jo 53 of the Criminal Code and Article 2 (1) of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951," said Kompol Satria.
