One Student Positive For COVID-19, SMAN 6 Jakarta Again Stops Face-to-Face Learning
JAKARTA - Teachers of State Senior High School (SMAN) 6 Jakarta again stopped Face-to-Face Learning (PTM) after one class XII IPS 2 student was confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Deputy Principal for Public Relations at SMA Negeri 6 Jakarta, Unro said after the findings of the case, his party took steps to close the school from January 24-28, 2022.
"Only one person (positive for COVID-19). Positive for COVID-19 since Saturday (22/1) based on the results of the PCR test," said Unro, quoted by Antara, Monday, January 24.
Unro said the students who were exposed to COVID-19 had attended face-to-face learning on Thursday and Friday last week.
On Friday, January 21, the student showed symptoms such as fever, so the school then gave paracetamol to reduce the fever.
"Until the house relapsed again, the PCR test turned out to be positive on Saturday (22/1)," he said.
His party will immediately conduct a PCR "swab" test on all students of class XII IPS 2 and a number of teachers who had taught in the class during PTM.
Currently, said Unro, they are still waiting for further information from the Kebayoran Baru District Health Center regarding the schedule for the PCR mass test.
"So we can only provide disinfectant in all classes, especially in positive student classes," he said.
The finding of this COVID-19 case made SMAN 6 Jakarta temporarily suspend PTM for the second time. Previously, the school took a similar policy after a class XI student was exposed to COVID-19.
At that time, PTM at SMAN 6 was suspended for 6 days from Friday, January 14 to Wednesday, January 19.
The PTM was again held on Thursday, January 20, after the results of the PCR test for students, teachers, and employees showed negative results.
