China Will Turn The Ngasirah Building In Kudus, Central Java Into A Hotel And Shopping Center
JAKARTA - The "Ngasirah" meeting building complex located on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Kudus, Central Java, has attracted foreign investors to build hotels and shopping centers, after previously there were a number of investors who were interested in using the land in the city.
"Investors who are interested in the land of the former Ngasirah building are from China," said the Regent of Kudus Hartopo in Kudus, quoted from Antara, Monday, January 24.
The plan, the land will be built hotel as well as a shopping center. If allowed, also interested in making Kliwon Market a wholesale market to be arranged to become a modern shopping center.
However, this is difficult to realize because it requires many stages and the relocation of traders so that it takes a long stage.
"Regarding his interest in Kliwon Market, we can't promise. The land for the former Ngasirah building is certainly welcomed because it has previously been offered to various parties," he said.
Meanwhile, the former Matahari Plaza Kudus land, he said, if anyone is interested, they should also build a shopping center because there is already connectivity with the mall next door.
He hopes that Chinese investors who have expressed interest in building hotels and malls can soon be realized in Kudus Regency, so that the economy in Kudus can recover and Kudus can be bustling again as before.
Head of the Regional Revenue, Finance and Asset Management Agency (BPPKAD) Kudus Eko Djumartono added that the offer from Chinese investors was still being studied.
Even if there are investors who are interested, the construction will have to be equipped with a meeting building so that it does not eliminate the main function of the "Ngasirah" meeting building which is currently razed to the ground.
The "Ngasirah" meeting building complex now only has vacant land left because the building that had been used as a meeting building has been torn down because the 1982 building was no longer feasible.
Previously, there were also investors who were interested in using the "Ngasirah" land to be used as a shopping center, but this was due to conflict with regulations because it was close to a traditional market.
Meanwhile, the existing shopping centers in Kudus Regency, namely ADA Swalayan, Ramayana, and Hypermart, while Matahari Plaza Kudus caught fire on February 22, 2018.
