Many Entrepreneurs In Bandar Lampung Are Still Stubborn, Open Cafes And Restaurants After Operating Hours
LAMPUNG - The Bandarlampung City Government appealed to entrepreneurs to comply with the operating hours of their place of business during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to suppress the spread of the virus.
"We see that there are still many cafes and restaurants that violate the mayor's regulation (Perwali) regarding operating hours during the pandemic," said Bandarlampung Mayor Eva Dwiana in Bandarlampung, Antara, Sunday, January 23.
He said that after patrolling with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) on Saturday, he had taken firm action against a number of cafes and restaurants that violated the rules.
"Some cafes and restaurants that violate the rules during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have temporarily sealed them," he said.
He asked all elements of society to maintain and implement health protocols (prokes) during activities. "During the COVID-19 pandemic, please take care of the procedure. Because by using the process, God willing, everything can run smoothly," he said.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Bandarlampung City COVID-19 Task Force, Ahmad Nurizki, said that the place of business that was temporarily sealed by the local city government had previously received a warning.
"Before it was temporarily closed, of course, a warning and a warning letter had been given, but it turns out that they are still violating so that strict action must be taken," he said.
He said that during early January 2022 his party had carried out seven temporary sealings of business premises, be it cafes, restaurants and others.
"On average, the violations committed, they exceed the operational hour limits imposed during the pandemic and violate the procedures, especially crowds. So, we also ask that the applicable regulations are obeyed by other business actors," he said.
In monitoring and supervising the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) level II, on Saturday night, the Bandarlampung City Government temporarily closed two business locations, namely the Radar Lounge Cafe and Karoke Intan located on Jalan Yos Sudarso.
In addition, the Bandarlampung COVID-19 Task Force Team also appealed to the public regarding health procedures and carried out a quick antigen test to 132 people at random with negative COVID-19 results.
