Plunge Into Papua-West Papua, Commander General Andika Perkasa Emphasizes To Soldiers The Importance Of Pre-duty Training

JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, emphasized the importance of pre-duty training in the provinces of Papua and West Papua soon.

"The pre-duty training of the Military District Commander, Naval Base, Airbase and Static Pamtas Task Force in the Papua region is quite important", said the Commander through the YouTube channel monitored in Jakarta, Antara on Sunday, January 23.

The Army Commander conveyed this when holding a meeting regarding the plan for training materials for the Army District Military Command (TNI AD), Naval Base Task Force, Air Force Base Task Force, and Static Border Security Task Force in the Papua and West Papua Regions.

The pre-duty training is planned to last for 12 days with several basic core materials to focus on the three task forces.

These materials are related to the territorial development of the Indonesian Army, the development of the maritime potential of the Indonesian Navy, and the development of the potential of the Indonesian Air Force's Aerospace.

"So, in the pre-duty training, we go straight to the point of destination. Once we have pre-duty, we can't be together anymore", said the former Army Chief of Staff.

On that occasion, the Army Commander added additional materials related to the material to be provided, including continuing to change activities by carrying out routines regularly, as well as how to carry out activities in the midst of personnel on duty.

In addition, General Andika Perkasa also decided to change the mechanism for distributing training costs to individuals. Later, all will be transferred directly to the salary bank account of each Army Task Force soldier on duty by the Army Finance Center.
