Subsidized BBM Quota Increases By 5.03 Percent In 2020

JAKARTA - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) set a quota for certain types of fuel (JBT) or subsidized fuel in 2020 of 15.87 million kiloliters (kl), or an increase of 5.03 percent from the previous year.

Head of BPH Migas Fanshurullah Asa said that the quota consisted of 15.31 million kl of diesel oil and 560,000 kl of kerosene (kerosene). This quota has been determined based on the 2020 Bill on the State Budget by Commission VII DPR RI and the Budget Agency.

"Two business entities that get subsidized fuel quota in 2020 are PT Pertamina of 15,636 million kl and PT AKR Corporindo of 234,000 kl," said Fanshurullah in submitting a subsidized fuel quota decree at the BPH Migas office in Jakarta, Monday 30 December.

Meanwhile, Pertamina also received a quota of subsidized fuel for diesel oil of 15.31 million kl and kerosene for 560,000 kl. Meanwhile, PT AKR Corporindo received a quota of subsidized fuel for diesel oil of 234,000 kl.

Meanwhile, for the Special Assignment BBM (JBKP) or premium type, the quota was set at 11 million kl which was handed over to PT Pertamina. This amount is the same as the quota given by BPH Migas in 2018.

For the distribution of JBT 2020, PT Pertamina (Persero) has 5,726 existing distributors, 13 on-progress distributors, 160 existing One Price BBM distributors.

PT AKR Corporindo Tbk. has 112 existing distributors and 10 existing One Price BBM distributors.

For JBKP 2020 distributors, PT Pertamina (Persero) has 4,670 existing distributors, 13 distributors in development, 151 existing One Price BBM distributors.

In accordance with the province, East Java gets the most quota, namely 2.37 million kl for subsidized diesel fuel and 1.4 million for premium fuel.
