Even Though The Match Against Valencia Flooded With Yellow Cards, Atletico Madrid Succeeded In Ending A Negative Trend
JAKARTA - Week 22 of the 2021/2022 Spanish League presents a hot match between Atletico Madrid and Valencia on Sunday, January 23. In the match which was held at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, Atletico Madrid succeeded in ending the negative trend.
In this meeting Atletico Madrid narrowly won 3-2 over Valencia, but that victory was also achieved through tough games throughout the match. Quoted from Football Espana, it was recorded that the referee awarded 11 yellow cards in this match of which five were awarded to Atletico and the remaining 6 to Valencia.
Despite running hard and tough, Diego Simone's troops were finally able to ensure victory after being left behind at the beginning of the match. Valencia as the guest team scored first in the 25th minute through Yunus Musah's kick.
