Update On COVID-19 Per September 1: New Cases 2,775, Cured 2,098
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 30,625 specimens were examined, as a result, there were 2,775 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 177,571 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, September 1.
Today's cases increased by 2,098, so that a total of 128,057 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 88 people and a total of 7,505 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 901 new cases and a total of 40,987 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Furthermore, East Java has 350 new cases with a total of 33,893 cases. West Java with 215 new cases and a total of 11,278 cases. Central Java with 200 new cases and a total of 14,164 cases. Then, Bali has 160 new cases and a total of 5,367 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 729 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 354 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 121 cases recovered, and South Kalimantan with an increase of 101 cases recovered.
Then, there are 2 provinces that reported having no new cases today. The provinces are Bangka Belitung and Jambi.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined reached 2,270,267. In detail, 2,227,825 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 42,442 using molecular rapid test (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 13.5 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 80,675 people. Currently, 488 districts / cities out of 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
