JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin supports motorcycle racer from Magetan, East Java, Mario Suryo Aji to compete in the 2022 Moto3 GP.

Mario met with Vice President Ma'ruf Amin at the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Saturday, accompanied by the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

"I, on behalf of the government, express my appreciation and appreciation to all parties, especially Mario who is the only Indonesian son who can qualify for the 2022 Moto3 Grand Prix," said the Vice President, quoted from Antara, Saturday, January 22.

The Vice President is proud and hopes that Mario can perform optimally in the Moto3 GP racing event, including the match in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), in March 2022.

"We certainly feel proud. Therefore, in the future I will pray and hope that Mario can achieve maximum achievements," he added.

The vice president advised Mario to continue to practice and be disciplined in obeying all directions from the coaching team.

"Mario must continue to concentrate, strictly follow the instructions of the coaches in order to succeed in achieving his achievements so that later he will become the pride of Indonesia and become an example for other racers," he said.

Ma'ruf Amin hopes that Mario can continue his academic education at school despite his profession as an international racer.

"Although as a racer, but also still highly educated," he said.

Meanwhile, Khofifah reported to the Vice President that Mario is the only Indonesian son who will take part in the 2022 Moto3 GP.

"God willing, tomorrow Mario will leave for Spain. The plan is that there will be 21 series in 16 countries, including series 3 in Mandalika," said Khofifah.

On the same occasion, Mario expressed his determination to be able to fly the Red and White Flag in every Moto3 match he will play later.

"Mario wants to fly the Red and White Flag on the podium," he said.

For this reason, he hopes for the full support of the government and the entire Indonesian nation in order to make Indonesia proud in the international arena.
