Traditional Market Trader In Bengkulu About IDR 14,000 Cooking Oil: Confused About How Much To Sell, If We Follow The Government, We'll Lose
JAKARTA - Traditional market traders in Bengkulu City suffered losses after the central government set the price of cooking oil at Rp. 14 thousand per liter.
This is because, said one of the traders at the Modern Traditional Market (PTM), Yetti, his party cannot lower prices in accordance with government regulations.
Considering the capital of packaged cooking oil taken from distributors is around Rp. 18 thousand to Rp. 19 thousand per liter, so the traders sell it at a price of Rp. 20 thousand per liter.
"We are confused about how much oil to sell, if we follow the government's advice we will lose," said Yetti, in Bengkulu, quoted from Antara, Saturday, January 22.
In addition, since the fall in oil prices, people do not buy cooking oil in traditional markets.
Yarnis also conveyed the same thing, if currently there are no buyers of cooking oil in traditional markets.
There are even buyers who are angry with the selling price of cooking oil in traditional markets by comparing the price of cooking oil sold in modern retail.
"Many buyers are angry why the price of cooking oil is not the same as that sold in modern retail," he said.
Previously, the Government set a policy of one cooking oil price of Rp. 14 per liter which started on Wednesday, January 19.
