Alfamart, Indomaret, Hypermart, Transmart, And Ramayana In Babel Selling Cooking Oil For IDR 14,000
JAKARTA - The Department of Industry and Trade of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province stated that five of the nine modern retailers in Babel had applied a cooking oil price of Rp. 14,000 per liter, to help the economy of the people in the area.
"The results of yesterday's monitoring show that currently only five modern retailers have applied cooking oil prices in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2022," said the Coordinator of Consumer Protection for the Industry and Trade of the Babel Islands Province, Zurista, in Pangkalpinang, quoted from Antara, Saturday, January 22.
He explained that five modern retailers that have applied cooking oil prices according to the Regulation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2022 concerning the Provision of Packaged Cooking Oil for Community Needs at Rp. 14,000 per liter are Alfamart City Hall, Indomaret City Hall, Hypermart, Transmart, and Ramayana.
Meanwhile, the four local retailers who have not implemented the regulation from the Ministry of Trade are arguing that local retailers must first coordinate with cooking oil distributors at the center.
"These five retailers have started to impose a cooking oil price of Rp. 14,000/liter since January 19, 2022, because they received direct instructions from their leaders at the center," he said.
The Head of Control, Trade and Consumer Protection of the Babel Disperindag Fadjri Djaga Hitam said his party had not been able to take firm action against retailers who imposed a cooking oil price of Rp. 14,000/liter.
"Currently, the Ministry of Trade is still giving regional retailers time to make preparations until January 24," he said.
appealed to retailers to immediately make adjustments to central government regulations regarding the application of affordable cooking oil throughout Bangka Belitung.
"We urge retailers to immediately adjust the price of cooking oil to Rp. 14,000/liter, because it is a central rule and must be obeyed and carried out properly, considering that people currently really need it," he said.
