Bobby Nasution Responds To Allegations Of Vaccine Injecting For Elementary School Students In Medan: 2 Possibility Of Negligence Or Intentional
MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution responded to a viral video suspected of injecting empty vaccines from elementary school students during vaccination at Wahidin Elementary School, Medan Labuhan District.
Bobby Nasution said that currently the doctors and nurses who are the vaccinators in the vaccination have been examined at the Belawan Harbor Police Station.
"I received information that they are being investigated, there are 2 possibilities, negligence or intentional. We have submitted it to the Belawan Police," said Bobby Nasution in Medan, Friday, January 21.
The elementary school student who went viral when he was injected empty had a sibling who also received the vaccine at the same location. However, the boy did not feel any effect after being vaccinated.
"A little addition from one of the children who were injected there were 3 siblings, 2 felt the effect, meaning that there was an incoming dose. But the child in the video did not feel achy, maybe there was an indication that the dose was not received," he explained.
Regarding the implementation of the vaccination, Bobby Nasution has called the Head of the Medan City Health Office. President Joko Widodo's son-in-law emphasized that all parties involved in this activity must be held accountable.
"Everyone must be responsible, both the nurse, the doctor who injects it and the person in charge," he said.
Bobby Nasution emphasized that the Medan City Government is ready to take full responsibility if the parties involved in the vaccination come from the Puskesmas.
"The City Government is ready to take responsibility if it is the one who does it, we are ready. Whether there is a puskesmas from the one who carried it out or an employee of the City Government and it has been explained, if it is done, the City Government is responsible," he continued.
Not only that, the mayor of Medan also admitted that he had asked the North Sumatran Police Chief, Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak to oversee this case properly.
"I have communicated, asking the Kapolda for help to see how this investigation is running smoothly," said Bobby Nasution.
