There Are 2 Banten Residents In A Truck Accident In Balikpapan, The Family Awaits The Arrival Of The Bodies

JAKARTA - Banten Police Public Relations Head Shinto Silitonga confirmed that 2 of the 4 victims who died in the tronton truck accident at the Simpang Muara Rapak intersection, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan were residents of Banten.

"Yes, right. The two victims who died were residents of Cilegon.” said Shinto Silitonga via text message, Friday, January 21.

Based on the information received, the two victims died, namely Jhon Efendi Harahap (38), a resident of Citegon Cilegon. Jhon's family is still waiting for the body to arrive at his house.

The victim of the second death was a Banten resident, Juni Dedi Ricardo Saragih (44), a resident of Gedong Dalem, Jombang Cilegon. It was reported that Juni Ricardo's body was immediately taken to Medan.

Previously, it was reported that the accident occurred at the Muara Rapak red light intersection, Balikpapan. The incident occurred on Friday, January 21 at around 06.15 WITA.

Information from the Dirlantas Polda Kaltim, the accident started with a red tronton truck KT 8534 AJ, which was driven by Muhamad Ali (48). Muhamad Ali is known as a casual daily worker (BHL) living in Tanjungpura, Telaga Sari, Balikpapan City.

According to reports, the truck left its parking lot on Jalan Pulau Balang KM13, Karang Joang, North Balikpapan at around 05.00 WITA with a 20-fit container loaded with 20 tons of water-cleaning lime to Kampung Baru, West Balikpapan.

Initial information said, the number of victims in the accident as many as 5 people. However, in its development, the police recorded 4 fatalities, including Jhon Efendi Harahap and Juni Dedi Ricardo Saragih.
