JAKARTA - The Korlantas Polri stated that changing the color of vehicle plates from black to white has various benefits. One of them, when the process of taking action against violations using Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (E-TLE).

"We will use a white plate in the future so that the Automatic Number-Plate Recognition (ANPR) in the E-TLE can highlight correctly without any errors. Because the results of this ANPR research are more familiar with those which are basically white in black writing," said the Director of Regident Korlantas Polri. , Brigadier General Yusri Yunus told reporters, Friday, January 21.

The change in the color of the vehicle number plates is also stated in accordance with Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 07 of 2021. Where, the previous number plates with black base color and white writing will change the other way around.

Not only the color change, Yusri also stated that the information regarding the installation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) on vehicle number plates is also true. Because, there are many benefits, such as e-tolls to proof of traffic violations.
