Due To Arteria Dahlan's Actions, The Chairman Of The PDIP DPP Also Apologizes To The Residents Of West Java

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDIP DPP, Said Abdullah, has apologized for the behavior of his party partner, Arteria Dahlan, who asked Kajati to speak Sundanese during a meeting. Although, Arteria had already apologized yesterday.

Said Abdullah admitted that he was ashamed of Arteria Dahlan. Because the members of Commission III do not reflect Indonesia, which is like pearl beads, composed of ethnic and linguistic diversity. In fact, the legislator for the Madura, East Java electoral district also touched on a historical issue that should not be forgotten. Including the history of Bandung Lautan Api. It is known that Arteria Dahlan had held a press conference in the PDIP Fraction Room of the DPR to apologize and clarify the request for the head of the high prosecutor's office (kajati) in Sundanese to be replaced, Thursday, January 20. The East Java legislator emphasized that he had no intention or intention to vilify the people of West Java, especially the Sundanese. Arteria explained that his statement asking the kajati to speak in Sundanese was simply to remind him. Arteria means that there should be no false assumptions because not everyone understands the Sundanese language. As a fellow cadre in the PDIP, Said continued, he has apologized to the Sundanese people. We will anticipate things like this so that they don't happen again," said Said in his statement, Friday, January 21.

According to him, this incident will be a deep introspection in the PDI-P, especially to further mature the national insight, the journey of national history. "And continue to be introspective to always be a party that is loyal to maintaining the richness of culture, language, and religion as the beads of our beautiful Indonesianness. Even though state administration events are officially regulated using Indonesian, that doesn't mean it doesn't allow dialects of regional languages as the insert, especially if it is to maintain tradition, and become a means of familiarizing the sense of brotherhood," he explained.

Said said that the Sundanese people, and the people of West Java in general, are an important pillar of the republic's economy. Where, West Java contributes 14 percent to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). "This happens because most of the Sundanese people's economy is struggling. The decline in the West Java economy will affect the Indonesian economy. We must understand the importance of this together, especially Brother Arteria Dahlan. Today we need economic recovery, anticipate an increase in the pandemic, we need cooperation, and collaboration in dealing with all of this. I hope these two things will become our focus in the future," he explained.

"I hope this personal expression of mine can be our corrective expression of the PDI-P cadres, as well as our sincere feelings for the Sundanese people," continued Said Abdullah.

The following is an apology from the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah for the actions of Arteria Dahlan: Apology to West Java Residents

Indonesia is like pearl beads. Indonesianness is composed of many things, ethnicity, language, religion, culture, rituals, and much more. To belittle, let alone to insult one of the beads is the same as tearing down the pillar of Indonesianness. Therefore, it is illegal to question, harass, or any action that undermines the pillars of Indonesia.

I was really surprised, even embarrassed to hear what my brother Arteria Dahlan's party said, who asked the Attorney General to fire Kajati who used Sundanese in the meeting. This statement was conveyed by Arteria Dahlan at the Commission III Working Meeting with the Attorney General. In fact, using regional languages as a distraction, including us members of the DPR, is commonplace. We are all local people, since childhood we are accustomed to regional dialects. I am a Madurese, not only that my Indonesian accent is thick with the Madurese dialect, I also sometimes slip Madurese with my friends during meetings at the Budget Agency. Likewise, DPR friends and work partners, work is often tucked away using Javanese, Minang, Bugis, etc.

Even though the DPP and the DPR faction of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle had warned and sanctioned Brother Arteria Dahlan for his arrogant words, the Sundanese's wounds did not immediately heal. I really understand that the inner wounds of the Sundanese are deep. We must know that there is no Indonesia without the struggle of the Sundanese people. Even shortly after the Republic of Indonesia was proclaimed by Soekarno-Hatta, not long after the 10 November 1945 incident in Surabaya, we also know Bandung, the Sea of Fire.

Bandung, the sea of fire is a witness to the history of the Sundanese people defending their independence. The incident broke out when the commander of Mac Donald's allied forces in Bandung asked the Governor of West Java to vacate Bandung from the troops of the people's army no later than 12.00 on November 29, 1945. However, the people of West Java did not give up. Peak On March 23, 1946, the allies delivered a second ultimatum to Prime Minister Syahrir to start at 24.00 on March 24, 1946 to leave Bandung as far as 10 km. Not accepting that Bandung was controlled by the allies, the Indonesian army and people in Bandung burned down the city of Bandung so that it would not be controlled by the allies. We remember the sacrifices of the Sundanese people as Bandung Ocean of Fire until now.

There can be no Indonesian independence without the consultation and energy of Sundanese figures in BPUPKI and PPKI. We know Raden Iwa Kusuma Sumantri (Ciamis), Raden Wiranata Kusuma (Bandung), Raden Oto Iskandar Dinata (Bandung), Mr. Achmad Subardjo (Kerawang), Prof. Dr. MA Kusuma Atmadja (Purwakarta), KH Abdul Halim (Majalengka), Jenal Asikin Wijaya Kusumah (Tasikmalaya), Wiranatakoesoema V (Bandung) are a series of Sundanese figures who devoted all their energy, thought and reason to prepare for the independence of this republic.

No less than Ir Soekarno or as we know Bung Karno, the father of our nation from a young age was trained and lived his movement in the Pasundan court. After graduating from HBS, Bung Karno continued his studies at the Technische Hoogeschool te Bandoeng (now ITB) in Bandung, majoring in civil engineering in 1921. Bung Karno's intellectual maturity was even greater when he founded the Algemeene Study Club (ASC) with thinkers from Pasundan. It was this study group that later inspired the founding of the Indonesian National Party (PNI) in 1929 in Bandung.

"Jas Merah or the abbreviation should never forget history," said Bung Karno. If we trace the history of the PDI-P, it is a long series of ideals and the birth of the PNI which was founded in Bandung, and one of them is the great contribution of the Sundanese people.

Even the peak of Bung Karno's intellectual maturity occurred in Sundanese Latah. From deep contemplation, from deep textual mastery dialogues and wide context wanderings, Bung Karno formulated the teachings of Marhanism also in Pasundan land. Starting from an in-depth dialogue with Mang Aen, this poor farmer from Bandung became the "living manifesto" of the teachings of Marhaenism formulated by Bung Karno. These teachings continue to be the line of our struggle in the PDI-P.

So great was the influence of Bung Karno and Sundanese figures in their struggle to establish this country. Once again I was slapped with shame in the face of the reality of Brother Arteria Dahlan's attitude. Cadre of Arteria's caliber, who has been a member of the DPR more than once, but is not very careful or careful in speaking, especially when it comes to big things, the pillars of the republic.
