The Construction Of The Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road Is Guaranteed Not To 'Scramble' The Borobudur Temple Area

JAKARTA - The construction of the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road will certainly not affect the Borobudur Temple tourist attraction in Magelang Regency, but will instead support the existence of one of the seven wonders of the world.

"The Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road, especially in Magelang Regency, does not affect Borobudur Temple," said Endro Hudiyono as a representative of the Land Procurement Team for the Development of the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road from the Central Java Provincial Government, quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 20.

He said that the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road after completion will bring closer access to the Borobudur Temple tourist attraction area, so that it is expected to boost tourism in the surrounding area.

Borobudur Temple, he said, is a super priority tourist destination as well as a national tourism strategic area (KSPN), so the toll road is also a destination for tourism areas around the temple.

"In general, in addition to the benefits of access for community mobility, the existence of toll roads is to increase investment and economic growth for buffer districts around Magelang Regency, such as Semarang, Temanggung, Purworejo, Boyolali, Wonosobo, and Magelang Regencies," he said.

Thus, gradually when the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road is operational, the economy in the several buffer districts can also benefit from the construction of the toll road.

Later, said Endro, in Magelang Regency, it is planned that there will be two rest areas (rest areas) on the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road which can be a promotional showcase for local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to showcase local mainstay products.
