Pertamina Discount Pertalite Price Of IDR 1,200 Per Liter
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) has made various efforts to support the use of environmentally friendly fuel oil (BBM), one of which is by giving a Pertalite price discount of IDR 1,200 per liter.
Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati explained that from around the world, only seven countries including Indonesia still use fuel below RON 90 or classified as low octane fuel.
"In fact, premium and pertalite are the largest consumption portions. We need to encourage consumers who are able to switch to environmentally friendly fuels," said Nicke during a joint hearing with Commission VII in Jakarta, Monday, August 31.
Antara reported, apart from Indonesia, only six other countries used fuel under RON 90, namely Colombia, Egypt, Ukraine, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Bangladesh. According to Nicke, Indonesia still uses premium fuel with RON 88.
Therefore, Pertamina is trying to reduce the levels of motor vehicle exhaust emissions with more environmentally friendly fuel, through the Blue Sky Program.
Through this program, Pertamina provides a Pertalite price discount of IDR 1,200 per liter. At the initial stage, this program has been running since July 5 in Denpasar.
The amount of the discount will be gradually reduced every two months and is intended for 2-wheeled motorbikes, 3-wheeled motorbikes, yellow-plate angkot and yellow-plate taxis.
"This program will run from early July, we will reduce the discount every two months. Now until early September the discount is still full, the price for Pertalite is Rp7,640, the same as the premium price of Rp6,450," said CEO of Subholding Commercial and Trading Pertamina Mas'ud. Khamid.
Mas'ud explained that apart from Denpasar, this program would be implemented in Java and Bali, such as South Tangerang, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Semarang and Bandung.
