Good News For Garut Residents, The Rp12.7 Billion Revitalized Square Is Completed
JAKARTA - The West Java Provincial Government has completed the process of revitalizing Garut Square in the urban center of Garut Regency, West Java. This work has spent a budget of Rp. 12.7 billion and is ready to be inaugurated on Sunday, January 23.
"The Garut District Square has been built or repaired for the better," said Garut District Secretary for Housing and Settlement (Disperkim) Ajid Sayidin while reviewing Garut Square, Thursday, January 20.
The revitalization of Garut Square was completed in 150 working days. The work was carried out by PT Tridaya Putra Bungsu.
"This is through an auction, the one who got the auction for this project is the son of Garut, from PT Tridaya Putra Bungsu, it was carried out about four months ago and thank God it has been completed," he said as quoted by Antara.
A number of improvements were made in this Garut Square. Starting from the repair of the stands, hallways, toilets, libraries, plaza hall, gates, amphitheater, children's playground, monuments in the four corners, sidewalks, seating areas, and babancong areas.
After the inauguration of the Garut Square, Ajid hoped that the public would not just enjoy it. But it can also be maintained properly so that its existence makes it comfortable for anyone who visits.
"This facility is for the public and it is hoped that the residents of Garut will maintain it together, and it is hoped that for the waste, the existing infrastructure is maintained together," he said.
Garut Square is located in an urban area or not far from the Garut Pendopo, and next to the Garut Grand Mosque which has been the community's destination to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The open field is also used for various activities or product exhibitions, including big day ceremonies such as the anniversary of Garut, as well as the commemoration of the independence day of the Republic of Indonesia.
