Satellite Cases At The Ministry Of Defense, The AGO Makes Sure To Check Military Members

JAKARTA - The Deputy Director General of Investigation for Special Crimes (Dirdik JAMPidsus) of the Attorney General's Office, Supardi, has confirmed that his party will examine members of the military regarding the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the Satellite Project at the Ministry of Defense.

"Yes, it will definitely be checked later, but later the level will be connected, so that's how it is," said Supardi, when confirmed in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, January 20.

Previously, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin said in a press conference on Wednesday, January 19 that the Attorney General's Office would only investigate civilian suspects, not military suspects.

Since the case went up to the investigation stage, Friday, January 14, investigators have asked for statements from a number of witnesses, all of whom came from the civilian element, namely PT Dini Nusa Kusuma (DNK).

Meanwhile, Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (JAMPidsus) Febrie Adriansyah at a press conference, Friday, January 14, said that JAMPidmil would involve JAMPidmil in the case if legal elements of connectivity were found during the suspect determination process.

Febrie said coordination with JAMPidmil was carried out because the case occurred at the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan). The involvement of JAMPidmil has been carried out since the beginning of the investigation.

In fact, as many as 11 people who were questioned during the investigation were made up of civilian and military elements.

According to Supardi, the existence of different statements does not mean that the Prosecutor's Office is inconsistent. However, the Attorney General's Office is concentrating on examining the private sector first.

"So there is no term inconsistency. We checked the private sector first, it's okay, we'll see first. If it's been examined, we see, oh there's a military here (the case, ed), we'll immediately coordinate with JAMPidmil, later the case will become connectivity, "He said. In this case, Supardi said, his party focused on handling the case so that it immediately went up to investigation. And now the examination of the witnesses has been carried out.

From Monday, January 17 to Wednesday, January 19, as many as seven witnesses have been examined regarding the procurement of the 123 degree East Longitude Orbit Satellite project at the Ministry of Defense in 2015-2020. The seven witnesses came from civilians.
