Cares And Protects Frequent Disturbances, Head Of BSSN Confides With DPR

JAKARTA - Head of the National Cyber Crypto Agency (BSSN) Hinsa Siburian complained about the PeduliLindung application during a meeting with Commission I of the DPR RI. Hinsa said there were several obstacles in handling the PeduliLindung application.

"But we are still trying to solve this. So indeed PeduliLindung from the beginning was not smooth either, there were many obstacles. But we can overcome these obstacles, for example on September 5 and 6, 2021, there will be disturbances, said Hinsa.

Hinsa explained that some of the disturbances that had occurred were PeduliLindung access was slow due to connection problems to servers and inadequate infrastructure.

Hinsa also explained that on September 7, 2021, there was another disturbance caused by inadequate infrastructure. To overcome this, continued Hinsa, his party limited access to IP address segmentation.

“Then September 8th another disturbance. Then the PeduliLindung application cannot be accessed. The reason is the high traffic at the Temporary National Data Center (PDNS) and problems with network security devices. Then we have helped them give advice on updating prime war and restarting security devices," he said.

After that, continued Hinsa, on September 15, 2021, there was another disruption due to high traffic. He admitted that he also had to restrict access and transfer network devices.

"So hopefully, in the future we can still secure it, because it has become a matter of national interest there, and we are still working until now to help from the security side," he concluded.
