Ge Pamungkas And Christine Hakim Learn From Each Other In The Film Just Mom
JAKARTA - The film Just Mom is a challenge for comedian Ge Pamungkas. So far, he is popular with his comedy acts in similar genre films, but in this film, Ge has a different role.
Ge Pamungkas gets a challenge to be a serious person. He is also required to show emotions in himself for the film Just Mom.
"When Mas Hanung (Bramantyo) was looking for an authoritative actor like Ayushita, I was like that too," replied Ge Pamungkas at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta on Thursday, January 20.
Anastasia Herzigova's husband has his own way of bringing Damar's character who is full of dilemmas to life. "I made this Damar closer to whom, so what I did in this film was observing Mother (Christine Hakim) how she influenced Damar's figure," explained Ge.
Ge Pamungkas feels that boys tend to be closer to mothers in terms of character. He lived that principle and even admitted that he learned more from Christine Hakim.
“We once wanted to do a camera blocking test. I thought we were just acting modestly, but when Christine Hakim's mother came, she looked all out and dressed in a mess," said Ge. It turned out that from there, he knew Christine Hakim always gave her best even though she hadn't started acting yet.
On the other hand, Christine Hakim actually had a special impression when she acted with Ge Pamungkas. "If I want to see him, I want to laugh all the time," said Christine Hakim.
"Many mothers are also the backbone of the family, not to mention their roles as mothers, educators, wives, masya Allah. I think that in order to understand the real role of mothers, we can never stop digging," explained Christine.
The film Just Mom tells the story of Siti (Christine Hakim), a mother who feels lonely when her three children are busy: Tiwi (Niken Anjani) is busy working and taking care of her children, Damar (Ge Pamungkas) is also looking for a mate and developing a career.
There is also Jalu (Toran Waibro), the youngest child who is preparing to study abroad. As the second child, Damar feels confused because he is required to take care of his mother but his work takes time.
The acting of Ge Pamungkas with Christine Hakim can be seen through the film Just Mom, which will air from January 27, 2022 in Indonesian cinemas.
