Bringing A Baby To The First Trial, Vannesa Angel Resigns Being Charged With A Psychotropic Case

JAKARTA - Defendant in the possession of psychotropic substances Vanessa Angel received the indictment read out by the public prosecutor at the West Jakarta District Court.

The prosecutor read out the indictment against Vanessa, who was accused of violating the law on psychotropics and the regulation of the minister of health on the possession of 20 items of xanax.

The prosecutor team, Edwin Beslar, said in the case that 20 xanax obtained by the police from Vanessa were positive for alprazolam and were registered as a class IV drug.

"The actions of the defendant as regulated and punishable by violating Article 62 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 5 of 1997 on Psychotropics junto Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 49 of 2018 concerning Amendments to the Classification of Psychotropics in the Appendix to Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics," said the prosecutor reading out. the indictment was quoted by Antara, Monday, August 31.

On this charge, Vanessa admitted to receiving it. Vanessa did not file an objection or exception note.

"I have no objection (to the charges), which is noble," Vanessa replied to the panel of judges.

After undergoing trial, Vanessa reiterated that she wanted to immediately resolve the legal case that befell her, by not filing an objection to the charges.

"Yes, because there is nothing to argue with. Let us hurry," said Vanessa.

Vanessa becomes a city prisoner for a class IV psychotropic possession case, namely 20 xanax pills without a doctor's prescription, mid-March 2020.

From the results of the examination of the witnesses, it was found that Vanessa's xanax pill prescription had expired so that it became the reason for Vanessa's suspect status.

While undergoing trial, Vanessa was accompanied by her husband Bibi Ardiansyah. Vanessa is also accompanied by her father and stepmother and her first baby. The little baby was carried by Vanessa's stepmother in a row of three seats.
