Disagreeing With The IKN Law, PKS Refuses To Choose The Name Of A Candidate For The Head Of The Authority Who Was Once Called Jokowi
JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) is reluctant to comment on the candidate for the Head of the National Capital Authority (IKN) Nusantara. The reason is, the PKS faction is indeed the only faction that rejects the IKN bill being passed into law on the grounds that it accommodates many substances and the views of the factions. One of them is not contained in the national long-term development plan (RPJPN) 2005-2025. A member of Commission V of the DPR and a member of the Special Committee for the IKN Bill, Suryadi Jaya Purnama, said there was no need for comments regarding the names circulating to be selected as candidates for the head of the IKN authority. Because, according to him, PKS did not agree that the capital city of the New Archipelago was built. Although, he said, his party did not question the names of the 4 figures who were once called by President Joko Widodo.
"When it comes to names, we should not participate in comments because we don't agree with the capital, not the person," Suryadi told VOI, Thursday, January 20.
Last year, President Joko Widodo had leaked the names of a number of candidates for the head of the authority. "There are many candidates. One Mr. Bambang Brodjonegoro, two Mr. Ahok, three Mr. Tumiyono, four Mr. Azwar Anas," said Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, March 2 2020. It is known that Bambang Brodjonegoro had served as Minister of Research and Technology. participated in planning the relocation of the new capital city when he served as Head of the National Planning and Development Agency.
Second, is Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok. It is common knowledge that the closeness between him and Jokowi was built when they led the capital city of DKI Jakarta together. Ahok now sits as the President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero).
The third name is Tumiyono. Currently he serves as the President Director of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. This state-owned construction company has a number of projects in the construction of the nation's capital or a new capital city.
The last name that Jokowi mentioned has the potential to occupy the Head of the State Capital Authority is PDIP politician Abdullah Azwar Anas. The former Banyuwangi Regent is now the Head of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP).
