Accompanied By Gibran, Puan Maharani Stops By The Laweyan Batik Village, Solo, To Buy 10 Fabrics And Clothes
SOLO - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, took the time to stop by Kampung Batik Laweyan during a working visit to the Soloraya area since Wednesday, January 19 yesterday.
Puan came to Kampung Batik Laweyan at the Merak Manis Batik Shop in Solo wearing a black suit and was accompanied by the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
On that occasion, Puan had a chance to see the process of batik and buy some cloth products and batik clothes from the shop. However, he did not provide any information to reporters. The shop owner, Badrus, said the chairman of the DPR RI had a chance to talk to him.
"He had time to ask about the pandemic how, the impact on SMEs in Solo. Indeed, last July was the hardest," he said.
If during normal times he sends his production goods to Klewer Market, but during July there is no delivery considering the temporary closure of Klewer Market during the implementation of level 4 community activity restrictions (PPKM).
"Finally we are trying to get up after the pandemic, by holding discounts," he said.
He said that Puan had also asked Gibran to immediately address the problems of SMEs.
"We also ask Mrs. Puan for the central government to help by providing policies so that MSMEs in Laweyan immediately wake up," he said.
During her visit, Puan bought about 10 pieces of cloth and clothes with typical Solo batik motifs. After visiting Laweyan, Puan continued a working visit to inaugurate the Legi Solo Market with the Indonesian Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono.
