SDA And PPSU Officers Find Cable Garbage Inside The Juanda Gambir Street Waterway
JAKARTA - Joint SDA and PPSU officers found piles of cables in a water channel on Jalan Ir Juanda 3, to be precise in front of Bank DKI, Kebon Kelapa Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.
Piles of cables in the channel were found when SDA and PPSU officers conducted an inspection. When officers found the water blockage point, it was discovered that there was a pile of cables. The officer went into the water channel to remove the cable.
Head of Section (Kasie) for the Maintenance of the Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Achmad Daeroby confirmed the discovery of piles of cables in the channel.
"Yes (true) this was in Gambir, during a routine community service activity on Sunday, January 16, then. There was approximately 1 cubic (cable waste found)," Daeroby said when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, January 20.
The findings of the cable allegedly often cause puddles of water, causing flooding.
"Yes, there was a blockage (of water). On Jalan Juanda 3," he said
Daeroby said the pile of cables that rolled up were optical cables. When asked about the indication of sabotage due to the presence of cables in the water line, he refused to respond.
"It looks like an optical cable. I don't know about this (alleged sabotage)," he said.
