SOLO - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka immediately inspected several puddles in Legi Market ahead of the inauguration on Thursday, January 20. Gibran promises to improve gradually.
"Water that enters or stagnates, we will fix it later, we will find other solutions," he said on the sidelines of a review in Solo, Antara, Wednesday, January 19.
Gibran added, these improvements will be carried out in stages. "While walking, the important thing is iso dodolan sik (can be sold first)," he said.
The eldest son of President Joko Widodo admits that there are still some shortcomings that must be corrected.
"Utilizing the rehabilitation period (treatment period) of six months, we will fix it later, there are still many shortcomings, it's okay as we go along," he said.
Meanwhile, until now several officials who are confirmed to be present at the inauguration include the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Budi Karya Sumadi and Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani.
"According to the schedule at 10.00 WIB, first go to Batik Village before coming here," he said.
Previously, thousands of Pasar Legi traders had moved from the makeshift market built around the market. They occupy kiosks, stalls, and oprokan. Especially for Oprokan, the traders are placed on the third floor and a shift system applies.
