BRI's Wong Little Bank Wins The Best KUR Distributer In 2021
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BRI) is said to have won an award as the 1st Rank for Best KUR (People's Business Credit) Distributor 2021 for the Commercial Bank Category from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
Director of Micro Business BRI Supari said the appreciation received by the company will be one of the motivations to continue to increase the distribution of KUR now and in the future.
"We have designed various strategies to be able to meet the 2022 KUR target," he said in an official statement on Wednesday, January 19.
According to Supari, so far, BRI has always carried out an optimal and efficient business process strategy to continuously improve performance.
"Both of them have proven successful in supporting our efforts in distributing credit in the micro segment, including KUR," he said.
On the same occasion, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that the government considered KUR to be very effective in promoting economic recovery. He said, during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing access to finance for the MSME sector was one of the main priorities and was realized through policy support.
“Congratulations to BRI for the successful achievement. The government hopes that through this award, it can improve the performance and achievements of the KUR program so that MSMEs can be more advanced and highly competitive," he said.
For information, throughout 2021 BRI managed to disburse KUR of IDR 194.9 trillion to 6.5 million debtors.
The book made the company record a growth of 40.7 percent year-on-year (yoy) compared to the 2020 period which amounted to Rp138.5 trillion.
Meanwhile, the focus of the wong cilik bank continues to be directed at the micro segment as the main core of KUR loan growth.
For information, for the fiscal year 2022, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs has set the KUR distribution quota to be Rp. 373.17 trillion. Of this amount, BRI received an allocation of IDR 260 trillion or 70 percent of the total KUR allocated.
BRI itself as a bank with the largest MSME portfolio in Indonesia is optimistic that it can achieve the 2022 KUR target by the end of the year.
