COVID-19 Update As Of January 19: New Cases 1,745, Active Cases Become 10,796
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 227,860 specimens were examined with the results of 1,745 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,275,528 and active cases have increased by 1,232 to 10,796 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, January 19.
Today's recovered cases increased by 504 cases, bringing the total to 4,120,540 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 9 people and the total was 144,192 people.
The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,012 cases and a total of 873,104 cases. Followed by West Java with 324 new cases with a total of 710,307 cases. Banten has 208 new cases and a total of 133,926 cases. Then, East Java with 49 new cases and a total of 400,486 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 390 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 25 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 21 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 20 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 68,201,218.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 0.38 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,814 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 178,261,136 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 121,566,591 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,348,413. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
