People Who Are Netted By KPK OTT In Langkat Regency Are Still Being Examined
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently investigating parties caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. The action was carried out on Tuesday night, January 18th.
"We are still investigating related parties," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron to reporters, Wednesday, January 19.
Ghufron asked the public to be patient while waiting for the results of the examination. Moreover, the KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the legal status of those involved in the silent operation along with the construction of the case.
"Please be patient, we will explain further after the inspection is complete," he said.
As previously reported, the KPK held an OTT in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. The activity was held on Tuesday night, January 18 and arrested a number of parties.
"It is true, the information we obtained Tuesday night, the KPK team managed to arrest several parties in the activity of arresting the alleged corruption in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, January 19.
Ali did not specify who was arrested in the silent operation. He only said that the anti-corruption commission team was asking for information and clarification from them.
