Breaking News KPK Holds OTT In Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, Several People Arrested

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. This activity was held on Tuesday night, January 18 and arrested a number of parties.

"It is true, the information we obtained Tuesday night, the KPK team managed to arrest several parties in the activity of arresting the alleged corruption in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, January 19.

Ali did not specify who was arrested in the silent operation. He only said that the anti-corruption commission team was asking for information and clarification from them.

"Currently, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) team immediately requests for information and clarifications to the detained parties," he said.

"Inspections and clarifications are carried out, of course, so that it can be concluded whether from the initial evidence that there is indeed a corruption crime," added Ali. The KPK asked the public to be patient regarding the continuation of the OTT. Ali said that his party had 1x24 hours to determine the legal status of the arrested parties and the chronology and construction of the alleged abuse.

"The time needed by the KPK is a maximum of 24 hours to determine its attitude from the results of all the ongoing investigations," he said.

"We will convey further developments," said Ali.
