Laura Anna's Sister Is Satisfied With The Verdict, Gaga Muhammad Does Not Accept And Immediately Considers An Appeal
JAKARTA - Greta Irene, Laura Anna's sister, expressed her gratitude to the judge who presided over the trial of Gaga Muhammad for providing justice. Gaung Sabda Alam Muhammad alias Gaga Muhammad was convicted with a sentence of four years and six months in prison and a fine of Rp. 10 million by the East Jakarta District Court judges "I am quite satisfied with the verdict that the judge gave. Even though the punishment for how long will not bring Laura back," Greta said, Wednesday, January 19.
Gaga as the recipient of the punishment did not accept the decision. He immediately filed an appeal through his lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid, saying that his client would appeal within 7 days of the verdict being delivered.
"I have told Gaga to think about it. This means we have 7 days to take a stand, whether to appeal or not, but it is very likely that we will file an appeal," said Fahmi Bachmid.
Fahmi said that Gaga had a different view regarding the verdict that was read out by the presiding judge. "There are issues of different perceptions, different views, different considerations. The Panel of Judges has a perception of what we postulate, it becomes an assumption," explained Fahmi.
"So, what is the reason that makes us appeal, I will convey that later. What is clear is that there are several things that we note about the facts at trial, namely regarding negligence, there are 2 incidents that have so far caused accidents, there is also negligence in the court. hospital," concluded Gaga's lawyer Muhammad.
