Sentenced To 4.5 Years In Prison, Gaga Muhammad Thinks About Accepting Or Appealing
JAKARTA - The panel of judges led by Lingga Setiawan assessed that the defendant Gaga Muhammad was proven to have committed a criminal act as charged by the Public Prosecutor.
The defendant Gaga Muhammad was sentenced to four and a half years in prison in a trial at the East Jakarta District Court.
"Senting Gaung Sabda Alam Muhammad a prison sentence of four years and six months and a fine of IDR 10 million," said Chief Justice Lingga Setiawan when reading the verdict at the East Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, January 19.
The panel of judges asserted that Gaga Muhammad must serve two months in prison if the fine is not paid.
Upon the verdict, Gaga's attorney Muhammad stated that he was still thinking about filing an appeal.
Previously, Gaung Sabda Alam Muhammad or familiarly called Gaga Muhammad was sentenced to four years and six months in prison and a fine of Rp. 10 million in the case of the Laura Anna accident by the Public Prosecutor. Gaga Muhammad was charged with Article 310 paragraph 3 of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
