KPK Targets Alleged Bribery For Infrastructure Work Projects In South Buru Regency

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is targeting a number of parties in South Buru Regency. It is suspected that bribery has taken place related to infrastructure work projects from 2011 to 2016.

"KPK is currently investigating the alleged receipt of gifts or promises related to infrastructure work projects in South Buru Regency from 2011 to 2016," Acting Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Wednesday, January 19.

Ali did not want to go into further details about the ongoing investigation. This includes announcing who the suspects are and the chronology of the alleged riot.

He said all information related to the alleged bribery would be conveyed along with the forced arrest and detention.

"We have not been able to convey the explanation and explanation regarding the chronology of the case until the announcement of the determination of the parties who are named suspects," he said.

"We will inform you of this submission only when forced efforts are made, both arrest and detention," added Ali.

The public is asked to be patient and participate in monitoring the investigation process. Ali also said that the collection of evidence was being carried out, including summoning witnesses.

"KPK will convey every development of this case to the public and hope that the public will also help oversee this case as a form of responsibility and openness in handling cases," he concluded.
