Facts About The Beatings That Led To The Death Of TNI AD Members
JAKARTA - The case of the beating that caused the TNI Army (AD) member Pratu Sahdi (22) to die, is almost completely finished. Because, some of the perpetrators have been arrested.
At least, there are some developments from the process of handling the case of the beating that occurred in the Pluti Reservoir area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Sunday, January 16. Starting from the number of perpetrators to the motive for the beating.
1. Eight Actors
Director of General Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat said the perpetrators in this beating case amounted to 8 people. This is based on the testimony of witnesses and the evidence found.
"From (the results of the investigation of the perpetrators, there are) eight people we suspect have carried out the action," said Tubagus, Tuesday, January 18.
It's just that, of the 8 perpetrators, they are currently only being detained. They were arrested in different locations.
"Together from the Directorate from the Polres and also from the Polsek, we have secured 4 people on Tuesday," he said.
2. Six Suspects
Then, of the four people who have been arrested, three of them have been named suspects. The rest are still under investigation.
"We have determined 3 people as suspects," said Tubagus
On the other hand, there are still three other people who are now fugitives. However, they have been named as suspects.
Based on the investigation, the three fugitives played a major role in the beating. Starting from the party who beat up to stabbing Pratu Sahdi.
"This person is on behalf of Baharuddin, he is the one who is strongly suspected of carrying out the stabbing action. Then the second is the DPO on behalf of Sapri, we have determined this as a suspect and are currently still being chased and the third is the DPO on behalf of Ardi," said Tubagus.
With the determination of the suspect, so that in this case there are 6 suspects.
Tubagus also mentioned one perpetrator who is still in the identification process. This means that his identity and role are not yet known in detail.
"One is still being identified," he said.
3. Misunderstood Motives
On the other hand, the motive in the case of beating Pratu Sahdi was also revealed. Based on the results of the examination, the main motive was simply a misunderstanding. The reason is that the perpetrators did not know Pratu Sahdi who was a member of the Army (AD).
"If the motive is suspected to be a misunderstanding, because between members of the TNI soldiers who were victims and the perpetrators there has never been a problem before," Tubagus said
Based on the results of the investigation, the perpetrators came to the location of the incident in Pluit Reservoir, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, to look for other people. However, at that time Pratu Sahdi was at the location.
Thus, the misunderstanding led to a dispute between the perpetrator and Pratu Sahdi.
"It's not that he (the perpetrator, ed) is looking for TNI members, but TNI members happened to be there. So the motivation was a dispute at the scene," said Tubagus.
4. Moments of Beating
The police also know the moments of the beatings. It all started with a group of unknown people (OTK) who were looking for the 'Kupang group'.
"Initially there were 4 perpetrators riding motorbikes together. Then they got down and went to the witnesses one by one asking 'Are you from Kupang,'" said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan
Then, the witnesses in question answered that they were not from Kupang. So, the perpetrators ask the same question to the victim. However, the victim at that time did not respond to the perpetrators. Until finally there was a fight that ended in a fight.
"The victims hit each other and one perpetrator in a black shirt strangled the victim's neck Sahdi while holding the victim's hand. Then one of the perpetrators in a blue shirt stabbed the victim using a sharp weapon twice until the victim fell down," said Zulpan.
Not only that, one of the perpetrators even randomly attacked people who were at the location. It was noted that two people were also targeted by the perpetrators.
"As a result, Samsul's victim suffered lacerations on his right chest and back," said Zulpan.
"While the victim Soleh was injured in the ring finger, 2 segments of the right hand were cut off," he continued.
Currently, the suspects who have been arrested are charged with Article 170 regarding beatings and 351 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution.
