105 Witnesses Have Been Examined By Police Regarding The AGO Building Fire, The Result?

JAKARTA - As many as 105 people have been questioned by Bareskrim Polri regarding the fire at the Attorney General's Office some time ago. Hundreds of witnesses were from internal prosecutors.

"There are 105 witnesses that we have examined. Among them are office boy 50 people, cleaning service 20 people, Pamdal 10, PJU there are 5 people, workmen 7 people, private 7 people and technicians 2 people," said Karo Penmas Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono to reporters, Monday, August 31.

However, the police have not been able to determine the cause of the fire at the Attorney General's Office Building. Because, until now, his party is still conducting an investigation. Including the Labfor team is still examining ash and charcoal samples previously taken from the scene.

"It's still a process. We'll wait whether it's a disaster or other factors," said Awi.

Previously, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin through Kapuspenkum Kejagung Hari Setiyono confirmed that the case documents were not in the burning building. The AGO asked the public to be patient in waiting for the results of the investigation.

"The cause of this fire is still being investigated by the National Police. Therefore, please be patient and we beg you not to make speculations and irresponsible assumptions," said Kapuspenkum AGO Hari Setiyono.

The Adhyaksa Corps Building caught fire on Saturday, August 22 at 19.10 WIB. It is suspected that the fire came from the third floor. However, it is not certain what caused the fire to appear.

After burning for almost 12 hours, the fire finally went out at around 06.28 WIB. It took 65 fire engines including two Bronto Skylift units deployed to extinguish the fire. There were no fatalities in this incident.
