Sunter River Flow Overflows, Jalan Ahmad Yani Pulogadung Submerged By 50 Centimeters Of High Flood

JAKARTA - Heavy rains that flushed the city of Jakarta on Tuesday, January 18, caused flooding in a number of areas in Jakarta.

In East Jakarta, flooding occurred on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Pulogadung, East Jakarta with a height of 50 centimeters.

Based on observations at the location, the flood submerged the side road of the Pulomas Reservoir, from Tanjung Priok to Cawang, or near the Cempaka Putih toll gate.

The flood was inundated because the Sunter River, which was next to the road, overflowed. As a result, vehicles going to Cawang were diverted to the busway lane.

Several vehicles broke down due to the flood, one of which was experienced by Beni.

"The motorbike strikes again. I want to go to the Sunan Giri Bus Stop (Rawamangun)," said Beni at the location, Tuesday, January 18.

Meanwhile, officers are still managing traffic jams to Cawang so that there is no accumulation of vehicles.
