Dozens Of Street Points In Jakarta Inundated By Rain, Deputy Governor Of DKI Makes Sure To Relieve Soon
JAKARTA - Dozens of spots in Jakarta were inundated due to the rain that poured from morning to evening. Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, emphasized that the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government will deal with the inundation until it subsides.
"Indeed, there are puddles in various places. But we are sure that the puddles will recede soon. We will make sure they recede soon," said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 18.
Riza said that the DKI Provincial Government had prepared flood prevention efforts, in line with the predictions of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) regarding the peak of the rainy season in January and February.
"We have prepared preparedness, from apples, equipment, to refugee camps. Logistics is ready, manpower is also there. However, we ask for the participation of all residents to be careful," said Riza.
Based on the monitoring of the DKI Provincial Government, there are at least 19 inundation points spread across four administrative cities due to the rain today.
In East Jakarta, inundation was recorded at 3 points, West Jakarta at 12 points, Central Jakarta at 1 point, and North Jakarta at 3 points.
As of this afternoon, there are still a number of roads that are flooded, including Jalan Utan Kayu, Jalan Gunung Sahari, Jalan Maeunda Makmur, Jalan Kelapa Gading Barat, Boulevard Raya Road, Jalan KH Abdul Wahab, Jalan Dharma Wanita, Jalan Hayamwuruk, and the Outer Ring Road. West.
