Capital City Officially Moves To Archipelago, Deputy Governor Of DKI: Jakarta Remains Comfortable To Live In
JAKARTA - Jakarta will no longer be the capital of this republic. But Deputy Governor of DKI, Ahmad Riza Patria, ensures that Jakarta remains comfortable to live in.
"Even if it is not the capital city, we believe that Jakarta will still be a good, comfortable, safe place," said Riza Patria at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday.
Riza stated his commitment to continue to beautify Jakarta while ensuring the integration of transportation in DKI.
Not only that, it will also continue to carry out flood management.
"We will continue to beautify, beautify and ensure that transportation modes are getting better and more integrated. We will continue to overcome flood control and Jakarta will become a proud city," he added.
The government's plan to move the IKN is being finalized, including the design and the name of the new capital city called Nusantara.
Meanwhile, from the DPR RI Building in Senayan, the DPR RI approved the Draft Law (RUU) for the State Capital (IKN) to become law at the 13th Plenary Session of the Third Session Period 2021-2022.
"Is the IKN bill approved to be passed into law," asked the chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, who was answered "agree" by the members of the council at the Parliament Building.
Before it was approved as a law, the DPR plenary meeting listened to the final opinion of the President of the Republic of Indonesia which was conveyed by the Minister of National Development Planning (PPN)/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa.
Suharso conveyed his gratitude for the support and commitment of the Indonesian House of Representatives and all parties who have made the best contribution in the preparation and discussion of the IKN Bill.
