Name Of Ahok And His Colleagues Potentially Appointed By Jokowi To Lead The New Capital, Roy Suryo: Yesterday There Were Many Ex-convicts, Was There No One Else?

JAKARTA - Former Menpora and telematics expert Roy Suryo also commented on the election of Nusantara by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for the name of the new nation's capital city.

According to Roy, the name Nusantara does make people lulled but the important thing to note is who is the head of government.

"Many people are (made) "lulled" said NUSANTARA as the name of the IKN candidate,

If I focus more on "Who" will be appointed by the Head of Government," said Roy Suryo through his Twitter account, @KRMTRoySuryo2 seen Tuesday, January 18.

In his tweet, Roy Suryo also included screenshots of news from online media regarding a number of potential names to be appointed. One of them is the former governor of DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok.

This former Democrat Party politician questioned, is there another name that the government has prepared for the hundreds of millions of Indonesians?

"Yesterday, the former prisoner was widely mentioned again? Isn't there anyone else in the 274 million people? Will Kominfo rectify (again)? AMBYAR," explained Roy.

Rumors of who Jokowi would choose as the new Head of the State Capital Authority (IKN) in East Kalimantan (Kaltim) emerged long before the name 'Nusantara' was announced.

Jokowi announced four candidates, starting with the former Governor of DKI Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, former Banyuwangi Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas, Minister of Research and Technology Bambang Brodjonegoro and finally the former President Director of Wijaya Karya (WIKA), Tumiyana.
