Viral Tiger Recorded By Residents' Cameras In West Pasaman, West Sumatra BKSDA Down To The Field
JAKARTA - The Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) of West Sumatra through the Agam Resort immediately went down to Situak Ujuang Gadiang, Lembah Malintang District, West Pasaman Regency to follow up on information about tigers caught on camera by residents in the area.
"We just got off and are still on our way from Lubuk Basung Agam to West Pasaman following up on the information," said the Head of the Natural Resources Conservation Resort (KSDA) Agam, Ade Putra when contacted by Antara, Tuesday, January 18.
He said that apart from the information circulating on social media on Monday, January 17, his party also received a report from the Bhabinkamtibmas in the area.
"From the information obtained, it is suspected that the location is in Situak Ujung Gading but it is not certain whether it is in the company's oil palm plantations or plasma lands," he said.
Information circulating on a Sumatran tiger was caught on camera by residents in West Pasaman.
In the video uploaded to the Instagram account @infopasbar_, it is clear the appearance of a tiger in a forest.
It is possible that the video was taken from above the vehicle, but this tiger does not seem bothered by the whirring sound of the vehicle.
There are two video slides uploaded by the account. On the first slide, the tiger is sitting.
While on the second slide, the tiger walked away from the location. In the caption, @infopasbar_ wrote that the tiger appeared in Situak Ujuang Gadiang, Lembah Malintang District, West Pasaman Regency, Monday, January 17, 2022.
