PONTIANAK - The Narcotics Unit of the Pontianak City Police, West Kalimantan (Kalbar) arrested a woman with the initials FY (31) for carrying methamphetamine drugs which she stored in a black bag.

The arrest of the suspect was due to a public report to the authorities who were suspicious of seeing a woman using a beat motorbike circling at the Delima Mas Complex, Jalan Tanjung Raya, Saigon Village, East Pontianak District.

Pontianak Police Narcotics Head Commissioner Joko Sutriyatno said, based on the report, his party sent a small team to conduct an investigation to the address in question.

"At the time of the brief interrogation, the evidence belonged to him, which was planned to be circulated in Ketapang Regency," said Joko in Pontianak, Antara, Tuesday, January 18.

When the local residents witnessed the arrest, the police found a large transparent plastic clip containing methamphetamine, stored in a black bag. The suspect admitted that 51.51 grams of crystal methamphetamine was his property, which he bought from a person with the initials BJ in the East Pontianak area for IDR 42 million.

The meth is planned to be circulated in the Ketapang Regency area at a much higher price.

Currently, the suspect and evidence include 51.51 grams of methamphetamine, a black wallet, a black bag, an Oppo brand cellphone, IDR 621 thousand in cash, a Honda Beat red motorcycle unit KB 2842 QC. along with the keys have been secured at the Pontianak Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.

"For the suspect FY, he is threatened with Article 114 Paragraph (2) Sub-Article 112 Paragraph (2) RI Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with the threat of capital punishment, life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of six years, and a maximum of six years imprisonment. 20 years in prison, and a minimum fine of IDR 1 billion and a maximum of IDR 10 billion," said Joko.
