Despite Napoli's Success In Beating Bologna At Renato Dall'Ara, Spalletti Still Shows Dissatisfaction

JAKARTA - Week 22 of the 2021/2022 Italian League, bitter results suffered by Bologna who hosted Napoli. Appearing at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium, which is their home ground, Bologna were even submerged by the visitors.

Napoli were able to take a two-goal lead without replying to Sinisa Mihajlovic's team through Hirving Lozano's brace in the 20th and 47th minutes. Bologna's unanswered banquet automatically made Napoli go home with three points.

However, this victory did not make Luciano Spalletti satisfied. The Napoli tactician felt that the team's performance had not been maximized.

Quoted from Italian Football, Spalletti felt that in 75 to 80 minutes of the match Napoli won really dominate. But in the remaining 15 minutes, goalkeeper Fabian Ruiz and his colleagues actually risked conceding more than once.

"I get annoyed when we don't do well what we have to do," Spalletti said.

The coach who was born in Certaldo then emphasized that Napoli players should be able to continue to play possession of the ball. Because if the intensity decreases, they will be under pressure.

Luckily, according to Spalletti, the host camp could not take advantage of the opportunities created. So that the Partenopei's two-goal advantage lasted until the duel was over.

"We are not a team that can defend for long. We struggle in situations like that. We have to keep possession of the ball and avoid defending, because that's something we can't do," he said.

Spalletti admits, sometimes they are careless. Therefore, every game becomes a lesson. They just need to do their best in the next game.

"We have thrown away too many points this season. We have to finish in the top four. We have the quality to do that, like the other seven clubs," said Spalletti.

Regardless of the coach's comments, this victory over Bologna makes Napoli in third place in the standings. By bagging 46 points, the Partenopei are still four points behind Inter Milan, who sits at the top.
