Nasir Djamil Responds To Rumors Of Reporting Gibran-Kaesang PKS Cadre
JAKARTA - Jakarta State University (UNJ) lecturer Ubedilah Badrun reported two children of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Kaesang Pangarep to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on suspicion of corruption and money laundering (TPPU).
Appearing suddenly in front of the public certainly makes people ask who Ubedilah really is and what is her goal. In fact, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said that Ubedilah's goal was political because Ubedilah was a person close to one of the parties.
Meanwhile, in cyberspace, one of the social media activists revealed that Ubedilah was a PKS cadre who was in opposition to the government.
In response, Member of Commission III of the DPR PKS Faction Nasir Djamil denied the accusation. Because Ubedilah is not registered in the PKS cadre structure.
"He (Ubedilah) is not in the structure," Nasir Djamil told VOI.id, Tuesday, January 18.
According to him, if Ubedilah likes one or several political parties and may be seen attending some events held by political parties then this is a natural thing.
"If he likes one or several political parties, that's his right," he said.
Responding to Ubedilah's report to the KPK which was considered by some to be political in nature, Nasir Djamil considered it legitimate if there were people who thought like that.
"Because so far, law and politics are like two sides of a coin," he concluded.
