Arsenal Fans Are Excited To Ask For Torreira And Vlahovic, Who Contributed Goals As Fiorentina Beat Genoa 6-0

JAKARTA - Fiorentina succeeded in picking up a big win when they hosted Genoa in week 22 of the 2021/2022 Italian League. In the meeting at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, the hosts scored half a dozen goals without reply against Salvatore Sirigu.

From the 6-0 score made by Fiorentina last night, two goals were scored by Dusan Vlahovic in the 51st minute and Lucas Torreira in the 77th minute. While the other four goals were contributed by Alvaro Odriozola during 15 minutes of the match, Giacomo Bonaventura in the 34th minute and a brace from Cristiano Biraghi in 42 and 69 minutes.

Followed by the Daily Star, Torreira and Vlahovic's slick contribution in this match made Arsenal fans even more excited to urge the team to pull these two names closer to the Emirates, Arsenal's headquarters.

The reason is, Vlahovic has recently continued to be the attention of Gunners fans following the news of the player's transfer to London in January. While Torreira is a Fiorentina loan player from Arsenal.

Seeing Torreira's brilliant performance in Italy, Arsenal fans see the player has the potential to return to London and enter the first team following his good performance.

Because of the good performances of Torreira and Vlahovic in this match between Fiorentina and Genoa, the fans are also increasingly excited to welcome the two names to join Arsenal.

"Lucas Torreira celebrates with his Arsenal team-mate Dusan Vlahovic after scoring a goal against Genoa tonight," said one fan, quoted by the Daily Star.

"Two Arsenal players have scored for Fiorentina tonight Vlahovic and Lucas Torreira," another fan said.

"Lucas Torreira and Dusan Vlahovic for proof in Serie A. One is an Arsenal player. Another will soon become an Arsenal player," another commented.

Furthermore, according to Corriere Della Sera, Fiorentina actually intends to make Torreira permanent if Arsenal win in the hunt for their star striker. The reason is, Torreira himself has not played for Arsenal since the 2019/2020 season after joining Atletico Madrid on loan last season. The player also only has one full season remaining on his contract in north London.

As for Arsenal's interest in Vlahovic, Fiorentina demanded the Gunners to exchange him for 63 million euros. But, that amount can be negotiated to only 50 million euros if Arsenal want to release Torreira.

Asked about this transfer opportunity, Mikel Arteta as Arsenal coach could only give a vague answer. He can't say for sure if this is true or just a rumor.

"I'm really sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not going to go into any transfer rumours. I've never done that, and obviously we can't do it," said Arteta.

"What I want this month is that we have as many fit and healthy players as possible and we do our best and maximum with those players."

"Once we have a strategy on how we want to develop and improve the team, and whenever it is possible, we will try to do it. We all know that this market is very difficult," said the coach.
