After The Attack, The Ciracas Police Headquarters Reopens Public Services
JAKARTA - The Ciracas Police Office, East Jakarta, has reopened public services after being the target of attacks by hundreds of unknown people. People are advised not to worry about coming and asking for services at the Ciracas Police.
"The public does not need to worry, because we are still opening Ciracas Police services, of course security will be tightened," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Yusri Yunus as quoted by Antara, Sunday, August 30.
Services have been reopened, but now the area is still guarded by joint TNI-Polri personnel. The same was conveyed by the East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Police Commissioner Arie Ardian Rishadi, who said that Ciracas Police services were running normally.
Even so, Polda Metro Jaya asked residents who were victims of assault and vandalism by unknown persons in the Ciracas area to immediately report to the Police.
"From yesterday we are still waiting for public reports, if not reports how they knew they had broken glass, beaten, but did not report," Yusri.
Yusri said reports from the public would greatly help the Police and Military Police to resolve the case as soon as possible.
"We ask them to make a report to the police. Later we will submit it to the POM (Military Police) if the perpetrator is indeed a TNI person. This is still an investigation, just report it," he said.
The action of vandalizing the Ciracas Police, East Jakarta, was said to have been triggered by Prada MI's confession. He admitted to his colleagues that he had been beaten by a number of people. The news was spread through the Whatsapp short message application group.
As for the destruction of the Ciracas Police, East Jakarta, occurred on Saturday, August 29, in the early hours of the morning. The damage was said to have been carried out by hundreds of unknown people.
The action caused the Police building and several facilities to be damaged. Three members were injured.
