CIREBON - There has been an increase in the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Cirebon Regency, West Java after a month of not being found. The total number of deaths due to COVID is 892 people.
"There is one additional death case due to COVID-19," said Head of the Immunization and Surveillance Section for Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of the Cirebon District Health Office Dendi Hamdi in Cirebon, Antara, Monday, January 17.
Dendi said that the case of death due to COVID-19 in Cirebon Regency was recorded on December 12, 2021, and after more than a month, death cases reappeared.
Dendi said that for the addition of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19, there were two people, while five people underwent isolation.
"Today there are also two additional positive confirmed cases," he said.
Dendi added that the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination in Cirebon Regency, from the target of 1.7 million people, had reached 1.4 million or 81 percent. Meanwhile, vaccination for the elderly has reached 97 percent of the target of 150 people. Meanwhile, vaccination for children aged 6-11 years has reached 68 percent.
"We continue to accelerate vaccination, so that group immunity can be fulfilled immediately," he said.
