Makassar Bosowa Polytechnic Frees Tuition Fees For Al-Quran Memories
MAKASSAR - The Bosowa Polytechnic (Polibos) Makassar opens opportunities for graduates of SMA/SMK equivalent in the Academic Year of 2022/2023 by waiving tuition fees for Al-Quran memorizers (hafidz).
This golden opportunity is for Hafidz and Hafidzah whose memorization has reached 30 juz, and pass the Qur'an memorization test at the beginning of registration and every semester.
"This program will be given to a number of prospective students who register and pass the selection," said Deputy Director I Yoan Elviralita as quoted by Antara, Monday, January 17.
This free tuition scholarship is given to the memorizers of the Koran whose registration is open from November 2021 to September 2022.
"This type of Polibos scholarship program is a full scholarship from semester 1 to semester 6, for students who are interested, the registration fee is not set a penny or is free," he said.
Yoan explained that students who pass will receive benefits in the form of free entry fees of Rp. 5 million, free of semester fees of Rp. 5 million specifically for memorizing 30 juz and free of registration fees.
Polibos also provides scholarships for hafidz and hafidzah who memorize a minimum of 5 juz with a semester fee scholarship of 3 percent for each juz that is memorized.
Yoan said that there were two selection materials consisting of a written test and an interview test, so he reminded that prospective participants during the Al-Quran reading test must pay close attention so that their reading becomes fluent.
Bosowa Polytechnic offers 5 study programs for prospective new students, namely Mechanical Repair and Maintenance, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Taxation and Hospitality.
According to Yoan, students in vocational schools spend 70 percent of their activities on practice. In addition, the curriculum and all existing activities are specially designed so that graduates can answer the needs of companies and industries.
