BADUNG - Madura United striker Alberto Goncalves or known as Beto Goncalves was snatched in Kuta, Badung, Bali.
The robbery took place at around 21.00 WITA, Sunday, January 16 while on Jalan Raya Basangkasa, Seminyak. He rides a motorbike with his son after eating at a restaurant.
While on the way, there were two people on a motorbike grabbed him. The gold necklace was immediately snatched from Beto's neck. Not only that, the robbers deliberately pushed Beto's motorbike so that it fell and could not catch up.
"My son and I came home from a Brazilian restaurant and went straight to the hotel because tomorrow morning we have practice. Around 9 pm and the road was a little dark, I and my children were talking without concentration, suddenly they came from behind and immediately grabbed my (necklace). Once they got torn off my clothes and they pushed us down so we couldn't catch up with them. But luckily I didn't fall with my child," said Beto, Monday, January 17.
When he was going to chase the thief, the perpetrator was already riding a motorbike fast. Beto also shouted to the local residents
According to Beto, the gold necklace that was snatched was his favorite piece of jewelry weighing 30 grams.
"I don't know what the price is (necklace) now. Therefore, in 2009 I bought it in Papua only for a price that doesn't really matter. The important thing is the feeling (memories) because when Persipura won 2009 until now, I have the necklace," he said.
"It is there (memory) with me wherever I go wearing the necklace. It is almost 30 grams and there is no problem with the price and I really love the necklace," said Beto.
Beto plans to report to the police after the match that will be held. He hopes the police can catch the robbers.
